Animal Task Force & EAAP Special Session

With this Special Session, the ATF and the EAAP intend to contribute to the understanding of the roles of demand and supply actors of the PLF chain and their interaction with scientists in innovation processes and application of PLF into practice. PLF is the management of livestock farming by continuous automated real-time monitoring/controlling of production/reproduction, health and welfare of livestock. Participants of EAAP are challenged to discuss with farmers, the agrochain industry, representatives of the European Commission and other experts how research could contribute to PLF on-farm and, how data of PLF devices could contribute to research.

The Animal Task force

The Animal Task force (ATF) promotes a sustainable and competetive animal production in Europe. We are a public private partnership of experts from knowledge institutes and industry representative organisationsfrom across Europe. We work closely together with EAAP on setting the European agenda for research and innovation in the animal domain. The year 2015 of ATF is focused on precision livestock farming, which is the basis for this Special Session.
