ICT-AGRI is conducting a survey among providers of ICT to farmers. (The term "ICT provider" is interpreted very broadly, and encompasses all companies and organisations that use ICT in their business relationships with farmers.) The purpose is to get an overview of agricultural ICT providers in Europe and the services they provide to farmers. A special focus of the survey is on the current use and interest for interoperability and data sharing. ICT-AGRI will use the information from the survey in the planning of upcoming calls for European projects about improving the use of ICT in agriculture.
What's in it for you? By responding to the survey you will automatically be informed about calls for projects. You may be invited to participate in projects and you can search the ICT-AGRI database for partners for your own projects. The first call, to be announced in August 2014, is in collaboration with SmartAgriFood, another research funding initiative. This call will give financial and technical support to web developers and SMEs concerning use of Future Internet technologies.
How to participate in the survey? Maybe you will be invited by an ICT-AGRI partner to participate in the survey. If this is the case, you will receive a mail with instructions that lead you to the questionnaire. If you are not invited, you have to follow the instructions provided in the ICT-AGRI website.
The survey is open for countries not represented in ICT-AGRI. If you are interested in promoting the survey in a non ICT-AGRI country, we can give you rights to use the ICT-AGRI website to input the basic information about ICT providers in your country and to invite companies to respond to the survey by a system generated email, which leads to user-friendly response.
