The work carried out must be pre-competitive research and/or prototype demonstration. Product development supporting individual companies will not be supported. Financial involvement must be clearly stated in the application. The application must contain a plan for communication of results. Funding does not cover expenditures for activities before the project has been granted. Normally 70 % of the project’s gross eligible costs can be covered by the MMM funding. Applicants must provide the necessary apparatus (equipment costs) for the project themselves. If a special apparatus is needed an explanation and application for funding for apparatus must be included. If the applicant has not earlier given the explanation for indirect employee costs and overheads the applicant has to give an account to the ministry.
