The Institute for Sustainability Sciences ISS deals with the research and implementation of sustainability in the agri-food sector. Using a holistic systems approach, the ISS develops fundamental principles and decision-making aids for agriculture, government agencies and society in the spheres of ecology, economics and agricultural engineering. Within Agroscope, the ISS coordinates research in organic farming.
