Wer wir sind

Die Gesellschaft für Informatik in der Land-, Forst- und Ernährungswirtschaft (GIL) ist eine wissenschaftliche Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Agrarinformatik. Die Agrarinformatik ist eine angewandte Informatik, die die Gestaltung, Verwendung und Beurteilung von Informationssystemen in der Land-, Forst- und Ernährungswirtschaft behandelt. Diese Informationssysteme dienen den Entscheidungsträgern, Betrieben und Organisationen (einschließlich der staatlichen und nichtstaatlichen Institutitonen) bei der Durchführung ihrer Aufgaben und bei der Erreichung ihrer Ziele.

Ziele der GIL

Forschung, Lehre und Praxis
Als wissenschaftliche Gesellschaft fördert die GIL die Schaffung, Evaluierung und Verbreitung von Theorien, Modellen, Methoden, Werkzeugen und Lösungen für die Analyse, Gestaltung, Nutzung und den Betrieb von Informationssystemen für die Land-, Forst- und Ernährungswirtschaft.

Aufgaben der GIL

Die GIL fördert die Anwendung wissenschaftlicher Methoden und den interdisziplinären Informationsaustausch bei Analyse und Abbildung von Wissens-, Entscheidungs- und Prozessstrukturen sowie bei der Neu- und Fortentwicklung von Informationssystemen. Sie sieht ihre künftigen Aufgaben u. a. in Beiträgen

• zur Beherrschung von Komplexität in Informations- und Kommunikationssystemen,
• zur Verbesserung von deren Effektivität, Effizienz, Wirtschaftlichkeit, Zuverlässigkeit und Sicherheit,
• zur Anwendung wissenschaftlicher Methoden des Informations- und Wissensmanagements
• zum Management des Wandels von Informationssystemen
• zur Architektur von Informationssystemen und
• zur Entwicklung neuer Lehr- und Lernformen insbesondere in der Land-, Forst- und Ernährungswirtschaft.

Who we are

The Society for computer science in agriculture, forestry and food industry (GIL) is a scientific society for the promotion of agricultural computer science. The agrarian computer science is a computer science applied which covers the design, use and evaluation of information systems in the agricultural, forestry and food sectors. These information systems are the decision-makers, businesses and organizations (including governmental and non Institutitonen) in carrying out their tasks and achieve their goals.

Objectives of GIL

Research, teaching and practice
As a scientific society the GIL promotes the creation, evaluation and dissemination of theories, models, methods, tools and solutions for the analysis, design, use and operation of information systems for agriculture, forestry and food sectors.

Tasks of the GIL

The GIL is promoting the use of scientific methods and interdisciplinary exchange of information analysis and mapping of knowledge, decision-making and process structures as well as in the new and further development of information systems.
