Summary:
Project is targeting to implement a pilot project to increase animal production and accelerate rural socio-economic development by precision (low input & reduced traffic) fertilization of irregular sloped mountainous pastures by using ICT and automation. Project will create a platform that integrates and harmonizes existing software and hardware technologies into a single system for pasture management. The proposed system combine a set of data on soil and crop together with auxiliary data on topography, and land use to delineate management zones to sustainable increase in yield at reduced input conditions. Will analyse and handle multi-source and multi-sensor information on soil and crops like geospatial data and knowledge. For this aim, aerial fertilization and seeding by helicopters will be conducted in pilot areas. Will establish a strategic basic network to implement wider scale projects. Another target is to take attention of policy makers to rural development.
