Facility: We have fully automated four-200 lt reactor systems for composting for agrcultural waste material as well as for municipal wastes in Suleyman Demirel University. Compost temperature, O2/CO2/NH3 concentration in air, energy consumtion by aeration, air humidity are measured automatically. Aeration is based on on/off or temperature feedback of process. Compost moisture and organic matter content are also measured periodically during the process. In this system, we are working on co-composting of animal manure with rose oil processing waste, grass clipping, etc. Modeling, simulation and kinetics of composting process, determination of recipes for composting process are also subject study of composting. We have also almost done with a fully automated ten-60 lt anaerobic reactor system to study biogas process of different agricultural materials such as rose oil processing waste with quail manure. We measure CH4/CO2concentration, humidity of offgas from 10 reactors. Temperature pressure, mass floww of biogas are also measured.
