Associate Professor of Soil physics and  Environmental Agronomy at the University of Padova, Italy. At the same University, PhD in Environmental Agronomy (with a important area of study in Soil Science) in 1995. In 1996 European grant from the European Society of Agronomy and in 1997 post doctoral grant from the University of Padova. In the years 1998-2004 permanent position as researcher at the University of Padova. Since 2001 consultant of the Italian National Research Council. Visiting scholar at the University of Georgia (USA) in 1994 and McGill University (Montreal, Canada) in 2002. European Partner of the TransAtlantic Precision Agriculture Consortium (TAPAC). Primary research interests are in measuring, modeling, and mitigating environmental impacts of agricultural systems, with particular emphasis on the soil physical properties.  A second major area of emphasis is precision agriculture and soil mappingAuthor of more than 190 scientific  and technical publications and two patents.
