Expertise: Modelling of systems at different scales using advanced modelling tools (biokinetic models, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Poplulation Balance Models) and methodologies (calibration, validation, local and global sensitivity analysis, experimental design, uncertainty analysis). This is used to "analyse" systems, i.e. better understand the whereabouts of a system and to "optimise" systems, i.e. improve the system with respect to a certain objective (e.g. higher production yield, higher removal rate, energy optimisation,...)
