In 2012 ICT-AGRI published a Strategic Research Agenda (SRA).The SRA describes the main challenges, goals and solution domains of the application of ICT and robotics in the agricultural sector. An objectives of the current second phase of ICT-AGRI is to produce annual Action Plans for the implementation of the SRA with suggestions for specific actions to be taken.
The ICT-AGRI 2015 Action Plan has a focus on Precision Farming, which is considered a main application area for ICT and robotics in agriculture. The Action Plan presents an extensive review of PF technologies within three main domains, Variable Rate Application, Controlled Trafic Farming, and Precision Livestock Farming.
The Action Plan has served as the background for the ICT-AGRI 2015 Call.
